Deeply rooted in the Cowichan Valley, Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Her journey of supporting her local community spans over 17 years, during which she has provided individual and group counselling through non-profit organizations. Today, she extends her services to clients of all ages through her private practice Atlas Rose Counselling.
Rachel’s person-centered, interdisciplinary approach is grounded in Strength-Based and Trauma-Informed practices while incorporating Somatic Techniques, Narrative Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy to assist individuals in navigating concerns related to:

Rachel prides herself on creating a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe space for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions. She supports clients in choosing a flexible session delivery that works best for their lives, including walking sessions outside in nature or sit-down sessions in person. Rachel also offers convenient virtual support sessions, enabling you to access counselling support from wherever you may be; all you need is a laptop, tablet, or phone.
